75 Rox Hard Challenge: Day 3

Happy Day 3 of 74 Rox!

Here are the updates:

  1. Get out of bed within 10 minutes of waking up every single day
    • Yes!
  2. Eat at least 5 fruits/vegetables a day
    • spinach
    • lettuce
    • cucumber
    • bean sprouts
    • carrots
  3. Walk at least 1 mile a day
    • 1.02 miles. mostly just doing errands and parking farther in parking lots.
  4. Read 10 pages of any book a day
    • unfortunately i couldn’t do it today ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I usually plan to read before bed but by the time I got there, I was way too tired to do it. I will be starting the challenge over now. But that’s okay! All part of the journey ๐Ÿ™‚ I am going on a trip this weekend so I think I’ll start it up again after the trip.
    • I think this is pretty accurate in reflecting my issues with starting habits. I definitely have had trouble in the past staying consistent and being able to keep up with something for many days in a row. I know that, but it’s okay. I’m working to change it now ๐Ÿ™‚
  5. Spend at least 10 minutes a day on a creative hobby (will probably be watercolor and writing)

  6. Clean one space every day
    • side table by my bed

Journal Prompt: If you didn’t have to work anymore, what would you do with your days?

This is a super interesting prompt because I’m technically unemployed, but I’m also busy constantly. So I guess it’s a mix of knowing what I’d actually do with my days if I didn’t have to work anymore, but I think it’s all just work in another form. So I guess I wanna think about what I would do if I didn’t have to do “work in another form” either. I think I’m also gonna partly answer the question as if I was still at my old job.

  • I’d go to the beach every single day with a bucket of watermelon and jump in the waves fully submerged, none of that “just wading in up to my ankles/knees” bs
  • I’d go to the gym every day and get more serious about working out ( I think I’m doing a relatively good job with this one!)
  • I’d explore all the big streets near me and just go up and down the boulevards looking for used bookstores and new hidden restaurants and cafes
  • I’d drive to my friends every day whether they’re 5 minutes away or 4 hours away, I’d make that drive on a whim
  • I’d watercolor and read all the time
  • I’d spend more time hiking and in nature

Notes/Highlights from today:

  • Started the day off with a super amazing text conversation with a best friend about our favorite music
  • ran a few errands
  • Went to the gym. Did 12 minutes on the Stairmaster. I think I need to harness my anger into energy a bit better haha. Sometimes I’m just a bit too calm, but I get so amped up when I’m angry and I think an angry workout would hit so hard ahaha.
  • Got dinner with another best friend. She just came back from Europe and we have a tradition of going to Cheesecake Factory every time one of us goes on a trip so that we can tell all our trip stories. I love her ๐Ÿ™‚
