75 Rox Hard Challenge: Day 1

16 July 2024. Day 1/75.

Good morningggg!!! And happy day 1 of 75 Rox. Off to a good start!

I guess I wanna start by thinking of some reasons why I want to do this. I chose relatively simple goals, things that I already do pretty regularly, but not every day. As someone who gets bored with routines, I have a really hard time keeping up with one every day unless it has to do with a streak where I can count how many days that I’ve been improving.

This challenge for me is less about the effect of doing these individual things regularly, but more about building the habits and being able to get my life more together as a whole. Currently, I’m arguably unemployed (I have a few side quests and freelance opportunities every now and then), and I have been having a hard time getting my life back on track. I need something to give me purpose. Something to actually get me out of bed every day. And if that something is just a streak of getting out of bed, then so be it!

I know I’m going to be so proud of myself when I accomplish this, and I also really want that feeling of accomplishment.

Without further ado, here are the updates:

  1. Get out of bed within 10 minutes of waking up every single day
    • Got out of bed within 9 minutes! Personal record lol.
  2. Eat at least 5 fruits/vegetables a day
    • Peach
    • Tomato
    • Bell Pepper
    • Onion
    • Mushroom
    • Seaweed Salad
    • corn
    • cucumber
    • pineapple
  3. Walk at least 1 mile a day
    • walked 2.48 miles! Not a formal workout, just walked to get lunch and parked far away during other errands.
  4. Read 10 pages of any book a day
    • 12 pages of 100 Years of Solitude (i can read relatively fast and i can get pretty into books, but i absolutely suck at finishing books, even ones that i’m super into. So the book i’m reading might change a lot, but for now, I just wanna read and it’s fine if i don’t finish a book. maybe next time i do this, one of my goals will be to actually finish a book?
  5. Spend at least 10 minutes a day on a creative hobby (will probably be watercolor and writing)
    • writing!
  6. Clean one space every day
    • laundry
    • cleaned my floor

Side Quests Tracker:

  1. Go to one new place I’ve never been to before OR do one new thing I’ve never tried before
    • tried a new Poke place for lunch!
  2. Write a to-do list/goal list for the week every Sunday
  3. Get Google Ads Display Certification
    • worked on it in the library!
  4. Get Google Ads Search Certification
  5. Start studying for GMAT
  6. Go to one Toastmasters meeting

Just some other notes and highlights about my day:

  • Sold some of my clothes to a local clothing exchange store! Made $13.50 from it. lol.
  • Went to the library in my old area that I used to live in as a kid.
  • Went to the movies and watched MaXXXine with my best friends!!! I don’t usually like horror movies but I love Halsey and Lily Collins so I wanted to watch this one. I honestly really liked it!

note: I will probably be updating these the day after because sometimes i do a late night walk on a walking pad or eat a snack, etc. so yeah, just so i can update it fully for the day
